I shaped this egg for conditions that didn't suit either shortboard or longboard so I guess it's a compromise ! These shapes sometimes referred to now as "transitionals" were popular in the 60's when boards became shorter. The pintail works well with the Wingnut Rake fin and provides a good pivot for responsive turning. I got a little carried away with the resin spash which is reminiscent of a Jackson Pollock design.
