A number of years ago I started building my own boards. At that time there was little in the way of surf craft made specifically for the south coast of the UK. The waves are generally poor so I wanted boards that would make the most of what little we have. The aim of the site is to provide incentive to prospective boardbuilders and encourage surfers to understand more about surfboard design which I hope removes a little of the mystique surrounding this subject.

Board design is a complex science and I don't have all the answers but it sure is fun trying to work it all out.

My boards are heavily influenced by traditional designs and board building methods. I combine these attributes with new school design elements. These are not retro surfboards but classic shapes that continue to evolve. All my boards are shaped and glassed by myself in my garage.
